An important notice for our community of Hokianga

A temporary change to the Rawene Hospital overnight urgent-care after-hours service is required while we recruit new staff.

This means there will be NO Doctor on site at Rawene Hospital or available after-hours from 5pm to 8am Monday to Sunday.

The Rawene Hospital urgent care Monday to Sunday 8am to 5pm service remains the same.

Our ten community health clinics also remain open, with some minor disruption to the clinic days in some areas.

Please make an appointment before attending a clinic. Don’t wait until you are very sick and unwell, seek help early.

Make sure you have regular checkups with your general practitioner, nurse practitioner or community nurse

If you are unwell during the day – make sure you are seen at a community clinic or the day-time urgent care clinic at Rawene Hospital

Call Healthline for free – 0800 611 116 (7 days a week) so they can help you assess the best place for you to seek care

If you live on the north side of the Hokianga Harbour, you can access Kaitaia Hospital for urgent care
