Donations and Koha

Hokianga Health gratefully accepts donations and koha to support the Trust's objectives.

The Trust receives contract funding via Government agencies for the provision of healthcare, but this does not fully cover the costs of the Trust's wide range of comprehensive services.

Donations and koha (a donation in return for services, support, or food provided) from individuals or groups greatly assist the future sustainability of Hokianga Health and support the general health and well-being of the Hokianga community.

Donations to registered charitable organisations are tax-deductible in New Zealand and a receipt will be issued for this purpose by the Trust.

How to make a Donation, Koha or Contribution

If you are attending one of the Trust's clinics, koha envelopes and boxes are available to make your donation. If you need assistance please ask the receptionist and complete all your details on the envelope so we can send you a tax-deductible receipt.

Alternatively, you can make a donation through our givealittle donation page, send a cheque made out to Hokianga Health Enterprise Trust to our postal address, or you could send us an enquiry about other ways of donating on our contact page.

Over the years, Hokianga Health Enterprise Trust has received a number of generous bequests that have made a significant difference to the quality and availability of the facilities and services that Hokianga Health provides.

Specifying a bequest to the Trust in your last will and testament can be a practical way of making a worthwhile contribution to the health service that has provided care for you and your family and / or made a significant contribution to your community throughout your lifetime.
